Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy

Example spectra, unlabled, shown for example.

Energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDS) is available on both the 5800 SEM and the 8900 electron microprobe. This technique may be used for qualitative and quantitative elemental analysis and for elemental mapping. Both systems have boron detection capability.
